ARTS & CULTURE
Arts and culture are important economic drivers in the Columbus community. They create an emotional attachment to our city as well as enhance civic enthusiasm. The Partnership is committed to collaborating with community institutions – museums, libraries, zoos, performing arts theatres, professional sports organizations, etc. – that serve this need in our community. Most recently, the Columbus Partnership along with The Columbus Foundation commissioned an Arts Market Sustainability Analysis Study to generate discussion among Columbus’ leaders about the viability and evolution of the arts market, as well as the vision for this aspect of our community.
Instilling Community Pride through Celebration
200Columbus is Columbus’ year-long commemorative bicentennial celebration. The goal for 200Columbus is to cultivate a culture within the community that is more inspired, proud and engaged in the collective progress and increasing vitality of Columbus.
Bringing Shakespeare to Life in our Educational Institutions
The Ohio State University and the UK’s Royal Shakespeare entered into an international partnership that focuses on guest-artist residencies, professional development for local K-12 teachers, and teaching-artist training. Learn more about this initiative through the video below:
