Special Projects Coordinator, Smart Columbus
McKinzie Harper joined the Columbus Partnership team in May 2017, after completing the 2016-2017 Columbus Region Fellowship Program. As the Special Projects Coordinator for Smart Columbus, McKinzie coordinates events and visits associated with Smart Columbus, supports integrated communications efforts for Smart Columbus, supports Columbus Partnership’s member activities as it relates to Smart Columbus, and identifies new opportunities and projects that improve the overall effectiveness of Smart Columbus.
Prior to the Columbus Partnership, McKinzie interned with both Battelle’s D.C. Office and OhioHealth’s External Affairs Office. McKinzie graduated from The Ohio State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, Management, and Leadership from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. During her time at Ohio State, she served as a University Ambassador, John Glenn College Washington Academic Internship Fellow, and Chair of the Council on Student Affairs. As Chair, she oversaw a budget of approximately $4 million in Student Activity Fee dollars, led the review of the Student Code of Conduct, and represented students on numerous committees around the University.
